The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced a busy international cricket schedule for the upcoming winter season. Pakistan will host Sri Lanka and England for a series of matches. This exciting home season will start from 9 October to 21 November 2026. So, fans will get to see action in all three formats of the game.

Official Match Schedule for the 2026 ODI Tri-Series
The tour will comprise three T20 Internationals (T20Is), a seven-match triangular One Day International (ODI) series and a two-Test series. The PCB will host these matches in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Ultimately, the home season represents a major milestone for Pakistan’s cricket.
Pakistan is hosting a men’s ODI tri-series for the second straight year. Pakistan hosted New Zealand and South Africa in a similar triangular tournament in February 2025. The event was a warm-up for the ICC Champions Trophy. The PCB is now moving ahead with its efforts to bring back multi-team ODI cricket to the country.

h2>Sri Lanka Arrives for T20I Clash in Rawalpindi
Sri Lanka will arrive in Pakistan on 4 October 2026. The visitors will start their campaign with three T20I matches against Pakistan. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host all three of these matches. Specifically, the games will take place on 9, 11, and 13 October.
Furthermore, these matches will allow both teams to test their short-format skills. The two nations last played a T20I during a tense ICC Men’s T20 World Cup group match in February 2026. In that game, Pakistan held their nerve to beat Sri Lanka by 5 runs in Kandy. Consequently, Sri Lanka will seek to level the score on Pakistani soil.
The Rare and Historic ODI Tri-Series Returns
England will join Pakistan and Sri Lanka once the T20I matches are done. The former world champions trio will compete in a seven-match ODI tri-series. The 50-over tournament will be played from 18 October to 31 October 2026.
Tri-series tournaments are very rare in modern day cricket. Most countries prefer to play bilateral series instead. However, Pakistan has been putting in a lot of effort to bring back this traditional format. All three sides will get some much-needed practice ahead of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup in 2027.
The tournament will begin in Rawalpindi on 18 October, with Pakistan playing Sri Lanka. Consequently, the home fans will expect a fast start. Two days later, Pakistan will face England at the same venue. Sri Lanka and England will then meet on 22 October to complete the Rawalpindi leg of the tournament.
Subsequently, the tournament will move to Lahore for the second half. Gaddafi Stadium will host the remaining three league matches and the grand final. The top two teams from the group stage will qualify for the final on 31 October.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan Face Off in WTC Test Series
Sri Lanka will remain in Pakistan after the ODI tri-series concludes. The players will transition from white-ball cricket to the red-ball Test format. To prepare, Sri Lanka will play a three-day warm-up match in Islamabad. This practice match will run from 4 November to 6 November 2026.

Subsequently, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play a two-Test series. Both Tests will form part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle. Rawalpindi will host the first Test from 9 to 13 November. Meanwhile, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the second Test from 17 to 21 November.
